Duane Allman (1946-1971) was an American guitarist and founding member of the Allman Brothers Band. Renowned for his slide guitar playing and improvisational skills, he was a key figure in the development of Southern rock. Allman also worked as a session musician at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, contributing to hits by artists like Aretha Franklin and Wilson Pickett. His innovative style and influence have left a lasting legacy in rock music. Tragically, his life was cut short in a motorcycle accident at the age of 24. What personally might be my favorite solo (ask me another day it might change) Duane Allman Played was on John Hammond's version of "Shake For Me". Duane's playing on this track is so funky, and just has great time feel and attitude. Let me know what your favorite track is in the comments below!
