Derek Trucks is the undisputed king of modern slide guitar. Part of his style that sets him apart, is his convincingly vocal-like lines. In the video below, I am mimicking Etta James' vocal on the song "Trust In Me". Learning vocal lines will improve your ear, reaction time, phrasing, and general improvising ability.
