Slide Guitar Riffs Everyone Should Know: "I Can't Be Satisfied" - Muddy Waters

Writer: Jarred GarneauJarred Garneau

Mckinley Morganfield, famously known as Muddy Waters, is a giant among slide guitarists. Known for his booming baritone voice and slide playing, Muddy was one of the first to electrify the Delta blues from Mississippi.

One of his most well known and earlier recordings, “I Can’t Be Satisfied” is a staple for slide guitarists. Based on a repeating blues riff in Open-G, this riff is a must know!

I have included a video of me playing the lick and have included the tabs as well.
